The “Washie Weekend Virtual Run” is a 3 day 100 mile / a 160.940 km virtual running event that will take place from 03-05 July 2020.
The “Washie Mini-Me Virtual Run” is a 10 mile / 16.1 km virtual running event that will take place from 03-05 July 2020.

Duration 3 full days from Friday, 03 July 2020 to Sunday 05 July 2020.
Virtual number Athletes will be sent a virtual number.
Non-Participation Entry fees are not refundable for non-participation.
Your results must be submitted by midday Monday, 6 July 2020 either online or by email see both options below. Results will be compiled in alphabetical order only and will remain unofficial results. This is neither a race nor the official Washie 100 mile race and has not been sanctioned by Border Athletics or Athletics South Africa.

Terms & conditions
By engaging in the virtual runs, you as the participant, warrant that you have read, understood & agree to be bound by these terms & conditions, as they may be amended, updated or revised from time to time.
Indemnity and release
You expressly agree to indemnify and release Buffalo Road Runners, Buffs Club, Border Athletics, Athletics South Africa, any of their affiliated and/or constituent bodies, and/or any volunteer, sponsor, representative, employee, servant or agent of the aforegoing bodies or persons from any and all liability whatsoever and howsoever arising, connected with your participation and understand that under no circumstances will they be liable for any injury or damages, including consequential or indirect damages or for any delictual liability of any nature whatsoever suffered by you as a consequence of your participation in the virtual runs which is inclusive, but not limited to your physical activities. You also agree that in no event shall they be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with your participation in the virtual events.
100 Mile entrants must be 20 (twenty) years or older to enter.
10 Mile entrants must be 10 (ten) years or older to enter.
Guardians entering 10 mile event for children under 18 years of age
By completing an entry form to run/walk, you certify you are the parent/guardian of this entrant who is under 18 years and give your consent for them to participate in the 10 Mile event. You accept the terms and conditions for participation of the event on behalf of the entrant and declare them as capable. All children should be accompanied and closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Not competitive events
These virtual runs are not competitive events and as such, there will be no winner of each event. As each virtual runner faces different routes, terrain and weather conditions, their times are not directly comparable, and therefore no prizes will be awarded.
There will be no physical recognition items like medals awarded.
By entering the virtual runs, entrants declare they are physically fit and able to participate in this event and are able to complete the distance they have nominated. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to consult a healthcare provider before beginning this event in respect of your past or present injury, illness, health problems or any conditions or medication that may affect your participation in the event at any point in time. You warrant that the relevant medical checks have been completed and that there are no medical restrictions to your participation in this event. If you are in any doubt we recommend that you seek medical advice. Should you have an emergency, call your physician immediately. You should never disregard medical advice or delay in seeking medical advice.
Entrants consent to royalty-free use of their name, result, image, photographs, video and comments in any publications, announcement of results and marketing in relation to this event by Buffalo Road Runners.
Buffalo Road Runners confirm that entry is only valid for the details listed on the entry form and is non transferable. For an entry to be valid, entrants must complete the entry form on the Buffalo Road Runners Club entry portal and pay by EFT and send proof of payment (prior to the commencement of the event). These are non-refundable and non-transferable. No cash deposit entries will be accepted.
Entrants acknowledge they will participate and complete their nominated distance in a manner chosen by them, at locations chosen by them and at their own risk. Entrants are 100% responsible for selecting a safe route to run within the lockdown regulations at the time. Entrants should wear high-visibility clothing when running in low light conditions and take care around traffic or when running off road. Entrants acknowledge that this is a virtual run and that Buffalo Road Runners will not track or verify results or provide volunteers, marshals or medical personnel assistance to any entrant.
You will be treated as having completed the event if you submit the required evidence of your completion to us by midday on Monday, 6 July 2020. Any question as to whether sufficient evidence is provided will be determined solely at our discretion. The following, among other possibilities,will be considered as a valid completion of the virtual run. First by registering, participating and finishing the virtual run and where possible linking a qualifying fitness device or smartphone so the walk/run can be verified. Only those participants who have completed all the information required during the registration process and submitted final walk/run detail will appear on the unofficial results. Participants warrant that the information provided during the registration process is complete and accurate. Buffalo Road Runners encourage honest and accurate logging of virtual runs and will conduct random audits to check the validity of the data that participants log. It is your duty to ensure that your engagement in the virtual runs is free from any fraudulent activity. In the event of any dispute the decision of the event director shall be final.
Please note that the virtual runs are organized within the realm of the Applicable Laws in relation to the national lockdown in the Republic of South Africa. At all material times, the ambit of the Applicable Laws will apply. We encourage all Participants to remain safe. Buffalo Road Runners shall not be liable to the Participant or any third party for any wrongdoings, claims, direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages that may arise as a direct, consequential and/or indirect result of your participation and non-compliance with the Applicable Laws as on the date of the virtual runs.
“Applicable Laws” means all national, provincial, local and municipal legislation, regulations, statutes, by-laws, consents and/or other laws of any relevant governmental authority and any other instrument having the force of law that may be issued and in force from time to time with regard to or in connection with the activities contemplated under these terms. It is your duty to familiarise yourself with the Applicable Laws and the permitted conduct.
